Obituary for Morris G. Brown

Morris G. Brown, Jr., known as “Morrie”, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 5, 2019. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Morris G. Brown, Sr., and Charlotte Spiedel Brown, on October 25, 1939.
He is survived by Karen, his wife of 54 years, daughters, Denise Tremaine, and Deborah Brown, of Rogers, granddaughter Devin Crawford and husband Dillon of Bentonville, grandson Noah Mason Green of Rogers, and great grandson Beckham Lane Crawford of Bentonville, as well as extended family and a host of friends.
Morrie was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. His family was everything. He was an avid golfer, bridge player, loved buying and selling cars, and being at all of the soccer, and basketball games he could get to in support of his grandson Noah. He was a long time member of Central United Methodist Church of Rogers, where he ushered for many years, and never quite got the concept of whispering in church. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1957-1959. He loved children and in his “retirement” from a 30 year career in mechanical sales, went to work for the Rogers School District as a school bus driver for special needs children. He loved joking and telling made up stories to the kids along with every animal sound that went with the story or animal farm that they passed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Central United Methodist Church, 2535 W. New Hope Road., Rogers, AR. Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N, 4th, Rogers. www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com
